The new Ewing 33 Hi “St. Patrick’s Day” celebrates the holiday in style. Spinning off of their endorser’s title and celebrating the Knickerbockers’ recent tradition of playing in green uniforms on St. Patrick’s Day, this ultra-special rendition of the Ewing 33 Hi is dressed for the part. An all-green upper is composed of suede and nubuck, detailed with Irish orange and white throughout to fully represent the holiday. Releasing in very small quantities, this rendition of the 33 Hi is the most limited model to ever retro from the brand. Tell us what you think of these celebratory Ewings in the feedback box, and go green with a pair on March 12th from extremely select Ewing retail locations, including shopnicekicks.
In 1989 Patrick Ewing began his own shoe company, Ewing Athletics. The initial model of the Ewing was the Rebound that debuted in the 1989 season. After the Rebound released, Ewing Athletics went on to release 33 Hi, Eclipse, Concept, Focus, Domain and the Empire. In the early 2000′s as the use of the internet shopping spiked, there became a major demand for vintage Ewing shoes.
In 2012, Patrick Ewing relaunched Ewing Athletics to re-release past models in original and new colorways to meet that demand. The goal of Ewing Athletics is to cater to our core fans who want the original models produced true to form, with authenticity and with respect to the heritage of the line

Having picked up steam in the last year, it looks as though the Ewing Focus is back for a victory lap with the preview of the “Red Suede” colorway. As expected, the upper takes on a monochromatic motif, with suede and perforated nubuck trading off sections. Held down by a black strap which coincides with a matching inner lining, the all-red vibe is pulled off in grand style without overdoing it. According to @EwingAthletics, we can expect for this Focus to drop sometime in February, so stay tuned to Nice Kicks for details.
