The Knicks have already entered the offseason, and a casual lifestyle rendition of Patrick Ewing’s retros are following right behind. Previewed today by Ewing Athletics, the upcoming Ewing 33 Hi Burgundy Suede/Gum is a high-class take on the vintage hoop shoe. Sporting an all-suede upper in deep burgundy, white contrast on the detailing and midsole join with a gum outsole to keep everything clean. Watch for this style code of the Ewing 33 Hi sometime in May, but keep refreshing Nice Kicks for future details.
In 1989 Patrick Ewing began his own shoe company, Ewing Athletics. The initial model of the Ewing was the Rebound that debuted in the 1989 season. After the Rebound released, Ewing Athletics went on to release 33 Hi, Eclipse, Concept, Focus, Domain and the Empire. In the early 2000′s as the use of the internet shopping spiked, there became a major demand for vintage Ewing shoes.
In 2012, Patrick Ewing relaunched Ewing Athletics to re-release past models in original and new colorways to meet that demand. The goal of Ewing Athletics is to cater to our core fans who want the original models produced true to form, with authenticity and with respect to the heritage of the line
