Sway Calloway and the Sway in the Morning team are coming back to Austin, TX. On March 13th and 14th, the Shade 45 show will broadcast live from the Nice Kicks Shop from 7 AM to 11 AM CST. The event is closed to the public this year, but you can tune in to the show via SiriusXM Radio each morning. Having grown to a bi-annual event that books big venues and even invaded All-Star Weekend, another door is broken down with this March’s Milwaukee Sneaker Summit. Taking place on March 29th, the playing home of the Bucks will host sneakerheads right before LeBron James and Dwyane Wade take the floor for a road run. Sneaker convention season is in full effect as the Ultimate Sneaker Expo is set to descend upon Long Island in the coming months. Courtesy of DJ Clark Kent, the 9-hour event (featuring sponsorship from the likes of the New York Knicks and Def Jam Records) will take place at Ultimate 575, expecting to draw crowds upwards of 3,000, and more than 150 vendors. With this only being the expo’s second year in existence, the convention is certainly making some major moves, due in large part to its backing. As the NBA starts to wind things up to take a break for All-Star Weekend, the sneaker community is packing its bags for a pilgrimage to New Orleans for the 2014 All-Star Sneaker Summit. With the influx of stars that are expected to flood the Big Easy, the Pontchartrain Convention & Civic Center will be a celebrity sighting stronghold when the Sneaker Summit opens its door on Sunday, February 16.
