Air Penny II Black/Varsity Red-Maize Sample
 Just last week we got a camera phone sneak peek at the upcoming Maize Air Penny II, but now we have some better shots to form an opinion of this shoe.
Much anticipation is brewing for the re-release of the Nike Air Penny II this fall in two original colorways, but coming in Spring 2009 is an non OG colorup. The mixture of Black, Red, and Maize reminds us much of the Nike Air Bakins. We do not have a confirmed month, but we have heard this will be either a February or March release. We have plenty of photos posted after the jump of the shoes. What are your thoughts of this colorway? Would you have rather seen colorways of other teams Penny played for like the Knicks or Suns? Damn nicekicks is always on the grind with breaking exclusive news. Keep up the good work that’s why I check the site so often. FYI, eBay removed that auction. I like the colorway of these so I’ll most likely cop but I’m definitely coppping the OG colorway.

i’d wait till they go on sale…and rock em with the cartoon FLASH t-shirt lol…BACK IN MY TEENAGE YEARS WHEN THE BUBBLES WERE BIGGER WAS THE SHET! don’t really feel the look of the miniscule bubbles- even tho they’re better for the environment…what’s up with the penny 3s having a bigger bubble? or am i seeing things??

i wish i would have kept my original white/blue ones. i was always hoping these penny’s would be retro’d. think i’ll pass on this color and stick with the white/blue

The blue ones are obviously classics but, I will be coppin’ these along with them. I can’t wait to get these joints and hook them up with the Miami Heat Penny jersey. Sick

I think they’re pretty hot, BUT, I’m with everyone else. I’d rather just cop the black and blues. Does anyone know if the white and blues are releasing?

Oh by the way, I would love to see them come out with a suns color way. Since they already dropped a Knicks colorway in the Air Max Penny 2. I’m surprised they used the Heat colorway being that he got released from the squad and all.

*sigh* Nike Should’ve retro’d the penny’s ages ago since sneakerheads have been calling for them since the decline of Penny’s career & stop changing what made them so great *cough* jordan *cough* STOP KILLIN THE JORDAN LEGACY WITH THESE fusions, packages, …….. Exclusiveness is what made the OG J’s so great hence (cool grey XI’s, white & cement 3’s, etc… NIKE ALL CHANGE IS NOT GOOD!!!)

I still like all of the blue ones better since i had the white/blue ones the first time around…but this black/red color up there is still FIIIRRREEE!! And to all the haters: if this was an OG color yall woulda been eatin this up(dont deny it!)

Hmmmm… I’m going to pass. They just dont seem to do it for me and while some of you buy pairs to stare i actually buy to wear. I have enough jordans in this colorway so i find it pointless to add a retro penny in the colorway to my slow rotation.

Yall crazy this color way is tight, like the air bakins. They’re definitly gettn copped. Just get a white T, some khaki shorts with the black, red, and yellow pirates hat. Then you doin somethin.
