Air Jordan Melo M5 Olympic PE
Earlier this Summer, we showed you the Air Jordan Melo M5 Olympic PE that Carmelo Anthony wore during the 2nd half of the Championship game in Beijing. We now have many detailed pics of this Olympic PE.
Designed by D’Wayne Edwards, this Melo M5 possesses the Jordan 15 style on the back, while featuring the Jordan 23 print on the side panels. They also feature the word Melo on the tongue and the date 08/08/08 imprinted on the inside of the tongue. This was the date the 2008 Beijing Olympics began. We also have pics of the Melo M4 and the Melo M3 which is signed by him. If you recall, ‘Melo’ played in the Melo M4 throughout the 2008 Olympics. Tinker Hatfield needs to start designing Carmelos shoes. (The tinker who had crazy designs 3-14, and 23 not the tinker from the 15,and 20). Also Lebron you are my favorite player so can you tell nike to make your shoe be the best basketball performance sneaker as well having good looks for casual wear because thats how most people are going to wear them ( Michael Jordan had that aspect of shoe wear down pact and thats why his sneaker line is the most successful)

I like the detail in the M5. I see a lot of previous Jordan model cues mixed in there. Might have to cop a pair since u got a medal now.

sadly the melo m5 is like putting all different types of clay together atleast its not ugly. it looks like the melo m3, m4, m5 and the 23s put together to make one okay looking shoe, i think they would look better in black.
Comment by infamos — October 20, 2008 @ 5:39 pm
THIS is one great shoe!!! i will cop the melo’s!

I like the design but the pattern on the upper makes em look like bootlegs.

Not that this is a bad thing, but you can tell that the M3-M5 are Carmelo’s shoes if you take of his M logo and his #15 off the shoes because of the placement of little details, the simplicity of the shoes and other design cues that continue from one shoe to the next.
Comment by nikeshoehead — October 20, 2008 @ 7:24 pm

Ok! But nothing special.
Comment by solesaved — October 20, 2008 @ 11:06 pm
These are actually dope if you ask me. It’s just something about that olympic colorway that can bring out a shoe. It’s a perfect representation of Melo and matched with that jersey is just plain sick.
Comment by e.fontenette — October 20, 2008 @ 11:23 pm
not bad. m4’s style is alot better but maybe it will grow on me. dont know about the comfort yet tho. all in out its seems like its gonna have a feel of the 23’s and the m4’s put together which isn’t bad at all
Comment by chez187 — October 21, 2008 @ 2:31 am
the melo m5 is sexy reminds me of the xx3’s
