Based on ballots, Grant Hill was more popular than Michael Jordan in 1996. Well liked then and well regarded now, G Hill’s second signature shoe told all sorts of stories in 2013. None proved more nostalgic than this “Oly” tale. Releasing for the first time since Hill hooped for Team USA in Atlana, the speckled sole and country colors were a welcomed retro by basketball fans of all ages.

Anytime an Air Jordan 11 drops its an event. The “Gamma Blues” proved no exception, causing campouts and commotion in an all-new colorway. Unique accents and an all-black base made for one of the more balanced retro+ renditions of the all but untouchable model, delighting many but proving pass worthy for an Air Jordan 11 to some. While resale prices and re-stock wishes still have buzz at fever pitch for the “Gamma Blue” 11s, only time will tell if they were underrated or overrated in 2013.
