PUMA brand ambassador and 5x Norwegian World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, is set to release his very own PUMA Clyde. Carlsen is the highest-ranked chess player in the world and his Magnus Carlsen x PUMA Clyde Chess embodies his love of the game.
It’s truly an honor to be part of PUMA’s first chess-inspired sneaker. The Clyde style, with its rich cultural and basketball heritage, perfectly represents my personality, combining my love for chess with my passion for basketball.

Crafted with a premium leather upper, these sneakers feature a chessboard-inspired texture, adding a unique and sophisticated touch to their appearance. The shoe also incorporates contrasting suede form strips, a heel overlay with a textured finish, and a quarter PUMA logo with Magnus Carlsen’s signature in foil print.
To further highlight their chess-inspired design, the sneakers boast a woven tongue label displaying PUMA branding alongside a chess figure. The lace jewels come in black and white, resembling chess pieces. The synthetic leather sock liner showcases a chess-themed design, with the right shoe featuring the king piece and the left shoe displaying the queen piece. An additional set of laces is included for customization options.
In conjunction with the collaboration, PUMA has become the official sports lifestyle partner of Chess.com’s Champions Chess Tour, bridging the worlds of chess and athletic performance through a full season of elite chess events.
