Lizzie Armanto Drops an Earth-Inspired Vans Collection

Made with the next generation in mind, Lizzie Armanto delivers a new earth-inspired Vans collection. The all-gender capsule features a range of apparel, as well as Armanto’s sneaker — “The Lizzie” — Vans’ first signature skate shoe designed by a woman in 20 years.

As a self-proclaimed plant lover, Armanto loves to spend time outdoors and was inspired by Earth tones for her latest Lizzie sneaker. Made with thick canvas, the upper is covered in a dirt brown tone and has a solid black midsole that corresponds with the laces. To further support her commitment to Earth, The Lizzie is apart of Vans’ sustainable VR3 initiative meaning that the sneaker is made with organic cotton, natural rubber, and biobased foam. The Lizzie also uses suede sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG) tanneries that have been rated gold or silver for environmental responsibility. To represent the sustainable elements of the shoe, the heel counter features a debossed rose graphic as a nod to the reusable “thank you, have a nice day” bodega bags that come with a friendly reminder to reuse and recycle.

The apparel collection has something for everyone as the assortment is an all-gender range that combines Armanto’s personal style with functional skate details. You’ll be able to choose from everyday pieces like overalls, a tote bag, a longsleeve tee, a hoodie, and more. In addition to the inclusive clothing line, the “Little Lizzie” will be releasing for the first time ever, giving kids the option to sport Armanto’s signature shoe.

“I believe skateboarding is for everyone,” Lizzie said, “Which is why I’m excited to share the ‘Little Lizzie’, along with an all-new inclusive clothing collection.”
