This is the collab of dreams as KAWS x sacai x Nike come together to design a Blazer Low that is vibrant and sculptural. Both KAWS and sacai are regarded as legendary pioneers in their respective fields, and to bring their expertise to an iconic brand like Nike is a formula destined for greatness.
Right away you can spot signature elements of sacai’s design with overloaded components. Sacai often uses duplicates which we can see here on the double-Swooshes, two pairs of shoelaces, double eyestay panels, and twin tongues that stack on top of each other. The midsole extends onto the heel counter and lateral side, creating an over-constructed look. KAWS brings creative direction to the sneaker, by offering his skillful use of color with complementary shades of blue, green, yellow, and orange. Of course, the sneaker wouldn’t be complete without KAWS’ signature “XX,” which is featured on the front lateral midsole. KAWS and sacai blend together effortlessly, as this sneaker authentically represents the design styles of both brands in a balanced manner.
