Rei Kawakubo helmed COMME des GARÇONS played a large role in high-fashion Nike collaborations in 2017. From their trend setting Air VaporMax to the simplistic yet poignant Flyknit Racer, the Japanese label undeniably left its imprint on sneakers this year.
They’ll pick up where they left off in 2018 with another Swoosh collab this time canvassing the Nike Air Max 180. An often underrated Air Max that often saw its biggest moments overseas, the silo was championed in 2005 by Kanye West thanks to an unreleased sample he designed. Now, Kawakubo and company maintain the shoe’s original build executed by Tinker Hatfield yet updates the low-cut model with three Laser Pink dominant iterations.
This COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Max 180 trio is expected in select stores on February 1, 2018.
