All the Kings’ Men: A History of Sacramento’s Sneaker Stars

Last night may have been the Kings’ last game in Sacramento. While the Kings moved to Sactown in 1985, many of their memorable moments on court and on foot came during the 1990s and 2000s. Today, we look back at five players that made the Kings fun to watch as fans and sneakerheads. What did they do and what did they wear? Read on to find out.

Mitch Richmond

Reign: 1991-1998

Mitch Richmond’s storied career saw many of its greatest moments in Sactown. The pure shooting two guard was an icon in Sacramento leading the team in scoring each of his seven seasons and appearing in six All-Star games. During his stay he rocked many marquee Nikes and was also given a couple Air Jordans.
