An icon returns as the polarizing Air Jordan 9 “Olive” is rumored to rerelease in Holiday 2024.

Original released in 1993 and retroed in 2002 and 2012, the Air Jordan 9 “Olive” — much like the Air Jordan 9 in general — is a love it or hate it from the Air Jordan line. Whether due to its boot-like construction, range of colorways or the fact that Michael Jordan never wore the pair in the game due to his first retirement, the Air Jordan 9 has pros and cons that can be debated for days.

Nonetheless, Jordan Brand is celebrating the AJ9 in 2024 with the “Powder Blue” Air Jordan 9 OG and now the return of the “Olive” Air Jordan 9.

Like the 1993 version, the upcoming Air Jordan 9 “Olive” will feature its signature black leather upper, brown suede overlays, black midsole and varsity red details. The “23” heel branding will arrive on the shoe as well.

The Air Jordan 9 “Olive” releases on November 16, 2024, via Nike and select retailers.
