One look at Olori Swank and her illustrious blue hair and you can tell there is something different about her. Her fashion career started with a chance meeting, and has blossomed to include styling the likes of NFL star Antoine Bethea, actor and Sneak Peek alum Lance Gross, model Tae Heckard, starlet Teyana Taylor, actor Tyrese, and superstar Donald Glover aka “Childish Gambino”. Her unusual path to fame allowed for knowledge gain strictly through on the job training that she shares via her OloriSWANK.com fashion blog and as the Fashion Director of Krave Magazine. Though she spends most of her time styling others, Nice Kicks asked Olori to describe her personal style.

“My style is very emotional. I dress for my mood. If I’m feeling super girly one day, then I’m going to rock a pencil skirt and some 6″ pumps. On the days where I feel like a tomboy, I’m pulling out my Jordans. If I’m feeling hood, you can catch me with a bottom grill of 8 golds in my mouth. I am very much into mixing high-end pieces with more affordable, fast fashion finds. I’ve never believed that the cost of an item determines how fly it looks. My favorite pair of shorts cost me $8 at Wal-Mart, and I get a million compliments on them.”

In the latest installment of Decked Out Females, we get a small glimpse into the eccentric style that makes Olori one of the fastest rising stars in the fashion industry. Be sure to follow Olori on Twitter and Instagram.

Forever 21 Moto Jacket

“I bought this top from Forever 21 for $25. You’d never be able to tell because the fit is so amazing.”

Moda404 Leather Snakeskin Sweatpants

“These Moda404 exclusive snakeskin, leather joggers has gold drawstring and zipper details at the pocket and ankle. These pants are actually made for guys, but I loved them so much I bought them anyway. When I’m not rocking them with sneakers, they look super sick paired with high heels. They retail at $795.”

Nike Air Foamposite One “Polarized Pink”

“I have a bunch of pro athlete clients, and those guys love their sneakers! In shopping for them I’ve become quite the sneaker connoisseur. I pride myself on being able to find those rare kicks or getting the most sought after sneakers early. These Foams were one of those kicks that I acquired early, but decided to shelf. My initial plan was to bring them out in a year or so after everybody had forgotten about them, but they’re so pretty I couldn’t resist. It’s the girlie side of me that was drawn in by the allure of the color pink.”
