Size? and PUMA make us an offer we can’t refuse with their upcoming sneaker pack that honors one of the greatest mob movies of all time, “The Godfather.” Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, “The Godfather” is the gold standard of Italian mafia movies and has remained a beloved piece of cinema since its debut in 1972. The Size? x PUMA Palermo “The Godfather” Pack takes inspiration from the film and comes complete with three different colorways.
What would be more fitting for this collab than the PUMA Palermo, named after a city in Sicily, Italy. The silhouette itself is inspired by the Sicillian Mafioso of the 1970’s. The sneaker pack makes three direct references to some of the movie’s most notable settings: the wedding, bar, and restaurant scenes. Each pair has a unique colorway to represent the different scenes and is finished with hidden quotes from the film.
“The Wedding” comes in olive green and has a complementary cream stripe. Underneath the Palermo tag the quote reads, “We go to the mattresses.” Perhaps the best quote of them all, “Leave the gun, take the cannoli,” is seen on “The Bar” pair, which has a refined cream-colored upper and red accents. “The Restaurant” stands out in a bright blue colorway with pink stripes, a nod to Louis’ neon sign. To bring everything together, the pair is finished with, “It’s not personal, it’s strictly business.”
