Ramping things up for the release of the Reebok Kamikaze I OG, Reebok and Shawn Kemp flew out to the latter’s high school alma mater, Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana, for a special guest appearance. Bearing gifts, Kemp brought a few extra kicks in his luggage, hooking each member of the varsity basketball squad up with a pair of Reebok Kamikaze IIs. Peep the pics below to check out the nostalgic event, and be on the lookout for the Kamikaze I to land at key Reebok retailers, including Shop Nice Kicks, this Friday, January 17th for $115.
For the return of the hardwood classic, the Reebok Kamikaze II Mid, Rucker Park was blessed with the presence of the man that made the shoe popular, and an emerging young NBA star. Shawn Kemp, the Reignman, crashed the launch event for the “Letter of Intent” colorway held at the famed streetball court where Isaiah Thomas of the Sacramento Kings was in attendance. Thomas graced the court wearing the newly released kicks, while Shawn Kemp looked on from the sidelines before putting on a post-game slam dunk show. Today marks the official launch of “Letter of Intent” Kamikaze IIs at key Reebok retailers for $100.
