Certainly not the first sneaker to draw inspiration from food, the “Burger” Saucony Shadow 5000 is set to be delivered courtesy of END., and it appears to make the most of its culinary inspiration. Comprised of a suede and leather upper, the sneaker makes use of the colors seen on a hamburger, transposing them onto the Shadow 5000 model in true hamburger fashion. The END x Saucony Shadow 5000 “Burger” will be released on Thursday, May 1, so, until then, stay tuned to Nice Kicks for updates.
Saucony Shadow 5000
Saucony presents the Shadow Original Pack prepped and ready for Spring 2014. Mashing up the Shadow 5000 and the Jazz Original, elements from both kicks are on display, as the brand’s signature use of mesh, nylon and suede vie for position on the uppers. As two versions opt for tonal takes, the third lays a neutral grey atop royal blue for a more toned down option. The Saucony Shadow Original Pack is now available at Feature Sneaker Boutique.
Kick coppers keen on the retro running game know that West NYC can cook up a collab. This weekend, the sneaker shop sees their latest widespread release in the form of their Saucony Shadow 5000 “Cabin Fever”. Logging time in a cool weather colorway, this pair places a mossy mudguard atop a blue leather and mint mesh base. Red accents and speckling score this West NYC x Saucony team up, set to release on November 30th at noon CST at shopnicekicks.com.
Though the Breaking Bad has concluded, the memory of Walter White lives on. Immortalizing the educator-turned-kingpin, the Saucony Shadow 5000 is draped in a hazmat suit-colored upper for the “Heisenberg” colorway from PKZUNIGA. Star perforations adorn the forefoot in red and grey, coinciding with a gas mask to match. Pulling it all together is the inclusion of the police sketch of Heisenberg himself, standing in on the tongue tab. What are your thoughts on this television show-inspired custom? Solebox and Saucony continue their working relationship with the Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 “The Lucanid”. The upper of the classic model is dipped in navy blue coloring, and hits of lime green or orange on the tongue branding, upper lace eyelets, and inner lining add pop. White midsoles provide a clean finish to these collaboration kicks. The two colorways of “The Lucanid” Shadow 5000 will be available in limited quantities on Saturday, June 15. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for the latest information.
Solebox and Saucony team up once again, this time using the Shadow 5000 as the canvas.
