Nike Kobe 8

The Nike Kobe 8 is the eighth signature shoe for Kobe Bryant with Nike Basketball. Just as the past few signature Kobe sneakers, the Kobe 8 System was designed with a focused on performance that also incorporates some new tech as well as some current favorites, such as Lunarlon. Engineered Mesh is utilized on the upper of the Kobe 8 Systemx, which was officially introduced a few weeks back, and Lunarlon provides responsive cushioning. The familiar heel counter returns, but has been slimmed a bit to fit with the mesh. The new Engineered Mesh provides a new look on the Kobe 8 and allows for greater options when it comes to color. Additionally, it has contributed to a bit of weight loss, bringing the Kobe 8 System down to 9.6 ounces.

Upcoming Nike Kobe 8 Releases

Nike Kobe 8 "Prelude"

To bring in the Nike Kobe 9, Nike Basketball is celebrating the history of the Kobe Bryant signature line by releasing all the prior models. The Nike Kobe 8 Prelude was inspired by Kobe's ability and desire to reflect. Last year was a difficult one for the Black Mamba, and as he grinds to return from an achilles injury, Kobe is not averse to reflecting on his obstacles up to this point. The Kobe 8, therefore, features a ripple-like effect symbolic of reflecting on one's past.
