Puerto Rico National Team Air Jordan 1 Low
 This past season Jordan Brand was a major sponsor of Puerto Rico’s pro basketball league and this summer Jordan Brand will be outfitting the Men’s basketball Puerto Rico National Team for the Beijing Games. Jordan Brands assembled a special release to commemorate the first National team outfitted by JB.
A limited Puerto Rico Air Jordan 1 Low PHAT was released today to only three stores in the US: Shoe Gallery in Miami, House of Hoops in NYC, and Goliath in Spanish Harlem. It is said that only 24 pairs were released per door making the total number floating around at just 72 pairs. This was also the first release of the Air Jordan 1 Low PHAT. The “PHAT” Jordan 1 has more padding around the collar and tongue of the shoe much like an SB Dunk. In addition to the sneakers, Jordan Brand produced hats, T-shirts, and practice jersey to hook with the kicks. Much thanks to Nice Kicks reader Verb04 for sending us in his photos. I thought the same, but I wouldn’t have cried if there was a white Swoosh on the side to balance the colors a little big better.

I know that Carlos Arroyo has been on Team And1 for a while and they took care of them for the last Games, but I guess JB sees potential to grow in the PR market. Also, Carmello Anthony is half Puerto Rican.

they’re really clean looking jordan doesn’t really put out alot of red blue color ways.
bkbigjay i think they have made way too many retro 1’s and have left the other retros exclusively for the countdowns and the Olympic collection.

if people didnt know in puerto rico jordan basically own almost every basketball team available he even sponsers some high schools i was just there last summer and every one in the high school and college leagues wears jb p/s these kicks r ok nuttin 2 special im puerto rican but i hate PR color ways but these are passable

i have the other red and blue colorway of jordans. i couldnt cop these if i had wanted them. because i live in jacksonville and my parents dont like to drive down to miami just to buy stuff. but they solid. 7/10

Iam a proud Puerto Rican and an avid sneakerhead, and Jordan this shoe does nothing to rep. my country right. First off they should have been a better color up and probably a different shoe entirely but, damn could you have at least made them high tops!!!

at first glance i thought it was the east coast lows..so theres really nothin special about it.just too similar.. the flag should of been bigger, like the PR forces a while back..and JB stop bring the 1’s back. they r done..do 2-7..

That phat thing, that’s something id expecetd JB to do. Theyre moving the brand more in the direction of SB latley. Loud color schemes, limited gimmiciks…. I hope they don’t stay that way.

Sayin’ too many AJ1’s have been release is like sayin too many Dunks have been released. I Expect to see even more AJ1’s, even with his Skateboard line. Don’t like these tho. But, this is a basketball team shoe, didn’t expect too many crazy designs!

I just copped the Jordan lows from last year for like 40 bucks from Finishline in these colors. I did a red lace switch. I’m sure cats remember them.

Y is jb overkilling the 1s? These are basically the equivelant ov tha spizikes. Way too many 1s this year. It would help if they weren’t GRs, but they are not so these and all 1s in advance are juss played and wak. I never cared for tha shoe ne way.

Too much blue and red. The white Nike swoosh would’ve definitely set these off a lot more. I guess the heads at JB knew that and figured they NOT do it this time around (to make them “different”)… but why?
I just want the t-shirts and practice jersey honestly and I’m not even Puerto Rican.

i would rock these, i’m not a fan on “lows” but these are nice.. plus I love tha jordan 1’s, i don’t mind how they keep making designs, tha 1’s are one of tha bset makes! These are nice though I hope they make them in my size!!

1st jordan does not own any team in the BSN which is the basketball league of the island
2nd jordan brand is doing this cause the And 1 contract expired and the league signed a 4 year contract with jordan brand to make the teams uniforms and the national teams uniforms as well.
3rd i hope i instructed all ya “boricuas” that come to the island once a year and think ya’ll know all about the island like famoso fresh over there
