Later this month, in Paris, Maria Sharapova will return to the French Open. She will be among the favorites where the women are concerned, having won the Grand Slam singles title in both 2012 and 2014, respectively. And although this budding shoe has no affiliation with the tournament, Nike has produced an Air Max 1 for the Russian-born athlete just ahead of her tour in France.
Colored in black suede with a supple tan texture at the tongue working in contrast, Sharapova’s initials line the shoe’s leather insole while the midsole and outer return to the overarching noir sentiment. A sophistication glosses over the sneaker that also comes with both black and tan laces.
Sharapova’s Nike Air Max 1 MS has not yet been vindicated with a release date. Stay tuned for more details.
