Nike Hyperdunk Olympic Series
Yesterday evening Nike hosted a special tour of their new space in Harlem that celebrates the history, legacy, and future of US Olympic Basketball, The Commitment. There were many parts of this event that we will cover in other articles, but a series of products that were showcased in the space that we thought you need to know about are the Olympic Series of the new Nike Hyperdunks.
Nike created special editions for 8 international powers and a few Nike signature athletes in addition to the US Olympic model. The teams represented in this series include (left to right) Russia, Argentina (Manu Ginobli), China, Australia, Spain (Pau Gasol), Puerto Rico, Lithuania, and Germany (Dirk Nowitzki). There are again well over 40 photos posted after the jump so it would not be advised to try to see them all unless you have high speed internet (or a lot of free time). |

Is it just me, or does the ‘China’ edition look like something Tony Stark would be caught ballin’ in? *lol*
Comment by Mr. Willson — July 1, 2008 @ 8:53 am
Man most of these are fire! Nike did well on the hyperdunk
Comment by Flatsole — July 1, 2008 @ 8:54 am
Look man the (bball)shoe game right now is over saturated & people r lookin @ the way the shoe looks apposed 2 how it performs. no doubt the hyperdunk is 1 of the best hoop shoes performance wise but i think nike had it with zoom bb series release some more of the zoom bb 1s.

1.Puerto Rico
2.Gremany
3.Argentina
4.Russia
5.Spain
To me the U.S. ones aren’t all that great. And they were makin a big deal about how good the “New Nike Gear” was for the U.S. team…..
Comment by mtownzfinest1 — July 1, 2008 @ 11:13 am
i feel like the US got the plainest Hyperdunk. -_-
Comment by Terrell — July 1, 2008 @ 11:25 am
^I’m with Motown!
Comment by J.King — July 1, 2008 @ 11:26 am
The U.S. joints aren’t really nothing to look at….espicially compared to all the other colors(puerto rico, lithuania)…how about a little red on the trim…
Comment by Greedy Genius™ — July 1, 2008 @ 11:30 am

Comment by the.frshest — July 1, 2008 @ 11:40 am
I love the China pair. They’re spectacular. But my beef is…shouldn’t they have Yi Jian Lian’s name on em? I mean he is a Nike China endorser!
Comment by armand — July 1, 2008 @ 11:40 am

Comment by shoemantrey — July 1, 2008 @ 4:52 pm
They’re all on point, but the Puerto Rico’s and the Lithuania’s are the ones doing it for me.
Comment by Kevo Grand — July 1, 2008 @ 4:53 pm
They’re all nice but the solid backing behind the logo on the PRs is the best look. I’m sure they get lighter without it but it looks aesthetically better.
Big Dix

I LOVE HYPERDUNKS! Team USA Doesnt Need A Fancy Colorway Coz They’ll Still Be Takin The Gold Home. But Still I Thought They’d Be Laced Up In The “United We Rise” Editions Maybe Kobe Still Will…
Comment by the1andOnlyCHASE — July 1, 2008 @ 7:22 pm
AAWWWWW MMAANN! THEY WENT AND ROBBED THE US OF SOME FLAVOR! HOW CAN EVERYBODY ELSES HYPERDUNKS BE MORE FLAVORFUL THAN THE US? NIKE NEEDS THEIR ASSES SERIOUSLY WHOOPED ON THIS ONE.
Comment by orthotic — July 1, 2008 @ 8:41 pm

Comment by Darneezy — July 1, 2008 @ 9:09 pm

Comment by Flatsole — July 1, 2008 @ 9:47 pm
Unlike most i like them U S editions they nice simple clean colorway the all str8 but with some of the colorways you not gonna be wearin em unless you come with some tight gear to match up.
Comment by Solesaved — July 2, 2008 @ 12:26 am
To armand (19), Nike definitely gave Yi his own version of the hyperdunks and so far, they are the only ones that are on sale all over China. They are the pretty much the same as the photo above, except with Yi’s logo on the tongue and his number 11 on the side. Also, instead of the yellow, a darker gold is used. Here’s a photo I found online:

Comment by b. cheng — July 2, 2008 @ 3:00 am
There is an Yi addition of the hyperdunks as well, its very similar to the China one, except it has his logo on the tongue, his number 11 on the side, and instead of the bright yellow accents, it has gold, very nice, I like it even more than the China one pictured. The US one is very weak, but I’m sure there will be a few player edition versions which will be a lot better.
Comment by b. cheng — July 2, 2008 @ 7:48 am
Germany, China, Spain, PR, Russia, and an honorable mention to Lithuania
Comment by RSX WHEEEEEE — July 2, 2008 @ 9:48 am
nice job on these Hyperdunks. da China, USA, Peurto Rico, n Spain pairs are tight
Comment by JC — July 2, 2008 @ 10:18 am
I don’t like any of them really, but if I had to pick it would be Puerto Rico. the USA pair are mad weak. black and white? whats up with that?
Comment by mooch — July 2, 2008 @ 11:48 am
Why America get the lamest ones!
Comment by Brave — July 2, 2008 @ 3:35 pm
I like the germany ones. the us one are so bad. nike probably thinks no one is going to wear it any way because every player has their own shoe. is it just me or are the argentina a great memphis grizzlies P.E shoe
Comment by Giraud35 — July 2, 2008 @ 4:55 pm

Comment by greenmaker24 — July 2, 2008 @ 6:37 pm

Comment by The Duddaman — July 2, 2008 @ 7:02 pm
