  12. What are these made out of real gold and do they come with a gold medal????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

    Comment by Air Daniel — August 24, 2008 @ 2:42 am

  13. I remember when paying a $100 for sneaks was big deal now you lucky if you can get a decent kick for $100. Any special makeup or collaboration with an artist or a designer or limited edition is starting out at $300 and higher. Can’t see that price def for a sneak that i won’t wear all gold NAWWW. I know it’s for the gold medal game but these price is crazy.

    Comment by dum idiots… — August 24, 2008 @ 7:50 am

^^^ We may need NK to step in and comment on the price of these kicks because although it’s an Asian website the price is written as “$888″…the use of the “$” or dollar sign ‘implies’USD does it not?

And although it’s a matter of opinion whether or not the USA is the “most important” country in the world—YOU are “too stup!d” to realize that the Asian article uses AMERICAN ENGLISH which is now taught/used worldwide.

Next time you want to make a slick comment about “yanks” don’t do it on an American website…USA!!!

    Comment by nikeindabutt — August 25, 2008 @ 4:52 am

  53. Called Sogo and they connected me to the Nike Store but got hung up on because English Is my first and current language or they
got tired of people asking about gold AF1’s.

    Comment by olafson — August 25, 2008 @ 12:02 pm

  57. Does the $888 include a leprechuan too? That is bananas!! That is a car payment or even a mortgage payment in some southern states (USA) Nike has officially lost their mind… Houston we have a problem……

    Comment by Jerronimo — August 25, 2008 @ 12:04 pm

  58. Milk is a magazine from Hong Kong… The $888 pricetag is in Hong Kong Dollars… which is around US$114…

    Comment by Milk reader… — August 25, 2008 @ 12:47 pm

^^^ I hear what you’re saying but am I the only one who thinks it’s HIGHLY unlikely that the price gougers @ Nike would release an all gold/lasered ’special edition’ commemorative AF1 with all the fancy packaging and only charge $114 - $112 USD??? That’s about as likely as gas going back down to under $1 a gallon…

    Comment by nikeindabutt — August 25, 2008 @ 4:00 pm

  61. Man these are one of the coldest pair opf AF1s i have ever seen but for freakin $888 they better have real gold on them and they better not mess up. Nike is smokin crack, meth, and weed in the same pipe.

    Comment by Richard — August 25, 2008 @ 7:03 pm

  62. Yo… Attic is going to get in SOCAL… I REPEAT ATTIC IS GETTING THEM. they’re located in buena park right across from knotts.

    Comment by 2legit2quitt — August 25, 2008 @ 7:04 pm

  63. I LIKE THE LASERING, BUT NOT A FAN OF AN ALL OVER GOLD PAIR. I DON’T KNOW THEY COULD’VE PUT SOME KIND OF GOLD MEDAL SUMBOL OR SOMETHING ON THE TONGUE AND THE BACK, THESE STILL DON’T SCREAM OLYMPIC CLOSING OR ANYTHING OLYMPIC TO ME. PEACE OUT A-TOWN ZONE6 (that’s the eastside for you lames)

    Comment by DANKONE — August 25, 2008 @ 9:15 pm

  64. ill buy 2 pair of these

    Comment by money mayweather — August 25, 2008 @ 9:26 pm

  65. Saw these in the store yesterday, they look just as over the top in person as they do in the picture, except less shiny. Didn’t have a chance to ask how much, but the way they were treating them, I highly doubt they were only US$120.

    Comment by b. cheng — August 25, 2008 @ 9:52 pm

  66. the man is trying to kill the sneaker game one shoe at a time.and the fastest way to do that is to cover the shoe in shiney gold throw a nike sign on it and call it a day… and dont forget to charge $888

    Comment by marleynvrdead — August 26, 2008 @ 3:26 am

  67. The retail for the shoe only usd 130. And they were 888 pairs total worldwide. Each numbered. Cool indeed. They are on ebay now. check it out!!
