This Wednesday, the famed Nike Air More Uptempo “Olympic” will finally make its way back to retailers. Kith, in collaboration with Nike, will release the shoe with a bit of an added incentive for the first 96 customers.
The “Olympic” Uptempo’s, which released in 1996 when Scottie Pippen wore the over-branded shoe during the Atlanta Olympics, will release at Kith on July 20 in special packaging. What’s more, those initial 96 customers will receive a ticket to a special event on July 23 featuring none other than Pippen himself.
Pippin will be on hand to discuss his Olympic memories, his favorite basketball sneakers and all things Uptempo-related.
The Nike Air More Uptempo “Olympic” releases this Wednesday, July 20, at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn and KithNYC.com. The first 48 in-store pairs at Kith Manhattan and Kith Brooklyn will receive a ticket to attend the special event with Scottie Pippen in Brooklyn on Saturday, July 23.
