Shop Shout : Primitive
Paul Rodriguez is one of the nicest cats you will ever meet, so it brings me great pleasure to introduce the Nice Kicks readers to his shop, Primitive. Primitive, located in Encino, CA, carries the top Nike SB products, but also gets all of the urban account and quickstrike goodies. They also carry all the popular streetwear brands we all know and love. The team that works there are working class dudes who know their kicks and gear to help you find whatever you are looking for.
Premium Plus had the chance to go in the store and take some pictures and interview Paul about the store. The store has a new age look to the ancient ruins of a Mayan temple accented all around by of course skateboard gear and mementos left by Paul. If your in the area stop by and if not just call them up they do phone orders as well for those who cant get their shoes they have SB’s for days. I would like to thank Jubal Jones for his help and shout to Andy Netkin and Paul of course for doing it up like this! Primitive |

Shop Shout: Sidana’s
Sidana’s is the latest spot to the Long Island scene bringing all the goods everyone in the suburbs is looking for without having to make the trip into Manhattan. The shop is a growing dream by the owner Amar Singh who has had his start in footwear 22 years ago working as a stock boy. Two decades later, Amar has four shops in Long Island and Queens including his latest Sidana’s which some refer to as the Taj Mahal of sneaker spots.
In addition to all the Air Force Ones and Air Jordans one may have an appetite for, quickstikes can be scored from this door as well. Sidana’s |
Shop Shout: M.I.A. Skate Shop
Deep in the heart of south beach lies the mecca for all skateboarders and shoe lovers, the store you should know about. When you think about what SB shop in Florida makes a mark on the map other than the famed Tampa Skatepark, It’s M.I.A. Skateshop skate shop.
The shop is filled with a unique people and down to earth homely feel. Chris is the man in with the top hat and runs his store with a certain pride that it is the best in what the brands they carry can offer. The shop is decked out in wood grain, has a room full of skating supplies, and of course apparel as well and the legendary wood pillar in the center of the store. Check the pics! M.I.A. Skateshop |
Shop Shout: Air Traffic Control Miami
Shops like RIF and Flight Club took the sneaker shop concept to new heights. The height to which they raised the bar was where you can get any type of shoe, in whatever year it was produced, in a room chalk full of memories of child’s pass.
Recently our Miami based writer, Vulkan, visited the freshest sneaker spot to hit the Miami scene - Air Traffic Control. Also known as ATC MIA, this shop carries the theme of its name to the next level. A logo like what you expect to see on the sleeve of a bomber jacket, waiting room area seating, and of course, a conveyor belt. It would not be any stretch to say that it is the best looking consignment shoe store. Owners Daai Lo and Mark Bolkovich were nice to enough to let us take a few pictures of the spot and show you guys what ATC MIA is all about. Air Traffic Control MIA |
