Puma Clyde Cloud L
 Puma and Atmos have been hard at work this summer bringing awareness to endangered species, but Puma is still on their usual grind of bringing out the iconic Clyde out in timeless colorways. This month Puma released a duo of “Cloud” Clydes that feature a uniquely treated upper that give the shoes a one of a kind look.
The grey pair in the set truly look like a cloudy sky while the brown pair almost has a burl wood appearance. Both of these Puma Clydes are part of Puma’s REAL LEATHER series which means the shoes use buttery soft leather not just on the upper of the shoes, but also the lining and insole of the shoes. Both pairs also feature a patent leather Puma stripe on the side of the shoe giving some material interest to the shoe as well. The Good Will Out currently has these Clydes for 90€ ($142US), but thankfully they are available Stateside for $75. |
Atmos x Puma Suede Mid “Giant Panda”
 The second shoe in the Asia pack is the Atmos x Puma Suede Mid “Giant Panda”. Drawing inspiration from the Giant Panda of China and its main source of food, bamboo. The Puma Mid features a black suede upper, back fur collar and white leather with a bamboo leaf design on the side panels. The shoes come with three sets of colored laces and have the Atmos “A” on the lace tips and heel. They are currently ranked as endangered with only 3,000 currently in the wild and 180 in captivity.
Each shoe in the collection captures the unique characteristics of a specific animal, and features Mr. Iwago’s photography on the removable insole. The name and habitat of each animal is on the reverse tongue and the outsole in both English and Japanese. The shoes were created in hopes of bringing attention to our impact on these endangered animals. The Asia Pack will be on sale at Atmos NYC and UBiq Philadelphia beginning on July 26, 2008. |
Puma Blaze of Glory Mexico
 Puma has been coming hard with its Blaze of Glory releases this year and this one here is no exception . This is the Blaze of Glory Mexico (Black) there is also a white edition of this shoe but photos have not surfaced yet. The shoe is inspired by Mexican blankets which come in zig zag patterns and a variation of bright colors that go nicely on the Inner liner of the shoe. Atmos x Puma Clyde Crested Ibis
 To follow up with the release of the Polar Pack, Puma x Atmos x Mitsuaki Iwago have teamed up yet again to release the Asia pack. The Asia Pack will be on sale at Atmos NYC and UBiq Philadelphia beginning on July 26, 2008.
The first shoe in the Asia pack is the Puma x Atmos Crested Ibis Clyde. Drawing inspiration from the Crested Ibis of the Shaanxi Province of China the shoe features a pink upper that is a direct reference of the featherless head of the bird, while the side panels are decorated with a feather design to mimic the bird’s wings. The shoes come with three sets of colored laces and have the Atmos “A” on the lace tips and heel. They are currently ranked as endangered and were thought to be completely extinct until 1981. Han Cholo x Puma First Round “Goldie Han”
 Han Cholo is the latest artist that Puma has collaborated with in its efforts to introduce their timeless silhouettes in new fashion. LA based jewelry designer Han Cholo was called upon for their latest efforts that give the shoe an entirely new look with reflective gold leather, royal purple satin, and Olde English script. The “Goldie Han” shoe carries the jewelry theme beyond the gold upper with chain-like laces and pendant attached to the sneaker.
These will not be widely available, but rather just at Han Cholo’s store. Like the price of gold, the shoes aren’t exactly a bargain. The shoes will sell for $300 per pair at a date yet to be determined. Photos thanks to Urb / Hype Beast. |
Atmos x Puma Mid Macaroni Penguin
 The third shoe in the Puma x Atmos x Mitsuaki Iwago – Endangered Species Collection, Polar Pack, is the Atmos x Puma Mid Macaroni Penguin. The colorway of the PUMA Mid draws direct inspiration from the Macaroni Penguin of the Antarctic, which is a vulnerable beast who is facing a high risk of extinction in the wild. The most noticeable feature is the collar of the shoe that represents the Penguin’s head feathers. The shoes come with three sets of colored laces and have the Atmos “A” on the lace tips and heel.

Atmos x Puma Clyde Polar Bear
 The second shoe in the Polar Pack is the Atmos x Puma Polar Bear Clyde. Drawing direct inspiration from the polar bears of the Artic, the shoe features an off white nubuck upper and fur collar, while the blue ice sole represents the Polar Bear’s natural habitat. The shoe comes with three sets of colored laces and have the Atmos “A” on the lace tips and heel. The Polar Bear is currently ranked as vulnerable and is considered to be facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.
