Puma x Sergio Rossi Womens Collection
World renown Italian shoe designer, Sergio Rossi, recently got together with Puma. The result is a new twist on Puma favorites.
The Puma x Sergio Rossi Womens Collection features a few classically styled Clyde’s, in nice simple colorways for the ladies. However, to break from the norm, Rossi decided to up the ante, literally, with high heel versions of the Clyde as well. Releases feature sexy satin or “risque” leather materials, and colorways like Lolita Pink, Speedy Black and ‘Delovely’ Lavender. They should be available January 2009 from fine retailers, like Colette. Take a look at more from the collection after the break via Sneaker Freaker. |

Tommie Smith Puma Suedes
|
In 1968, one of the most iconic images of the complicated times that are known as the Civil Rights Movement, was Tommie Smith raising his clenched fist, covered by a black glove, while receiving his gold medal in the Mexico City Olympics. 40 years later, Puma pays tribute to Tommie Smith with a pair of Puma Suedes. Each colorway of the Suede receives a subtle all over print of the clenched fist image that made such a huge statement forty years ago. The heel tab also features the a gold colored “Mexico 1968″ which pays tribute to the athletic accomplishments of Tommie Smith in those Olympic games. A well executed and appropriate tribute to one of the most memorable statements made, in the name of human rights. These are available now at Mita. |
Puma First Round Wildlife Releases
Here we go with a Puma shoe in for this weeks Fugly. In case one release wasn’t enough to secure their spot, Puma doubled up their efforts with the Puma First Round “Grizzly Bear” and “Deer” edition sneakers.
For these First Rounds, they decided rather than use a grizzly or deer for inspiration, they decided to just plaster the images they were looking at on the side of the shoe. In order to help the animals in the photos to feel at home, they’ve added a wood-like texture and print to the uppers, and to keep them warm through the winter they’ve added a furry lining to shoes inner. Do we want to know what’s next? Available at German based Vagant for €109.90. |
Puma Stepper x Yo MTV Raps
The Yo! MTV Raps Puma Collection continues, yet again with a new version of the Puma Stepper x Yo MTV Raps .
This time the Stepper comes in a mostly black and white upper with lime and pink Puma logos, yep lime on the outer face, pink on the inner face of the foot. The colorway seems to offset the previous version of the Stepper to come from the Yo! x Puma collaboration. The collab helps celebrate the twenty year anniversary of the hip hop series on MTV, which first aired back in 1988. Not sure how many old school hip hop heads would approve, but you can pick these up now at Mita Sneakers. |
