Womens Nike Air Max BW Classic “Vivid Pink”
Colors and materials make or break a sneaker. This couldn’t be more evident than with the Air Max BW where the choice of the right colors and upper materials separate timeless gems from outlet dwellers.
Nike kicks off 2009 with some great Air Max BWs for both men and women. We previously informed you of the Black/Persian Violet BW’s coming back, but the ladies will be treated to the Vivid Pink Air Max BW. The simplicity and balance of colors pull it all together on this one. It is also important to note the shoes sport the ever-so-popular mesh toe-box. Only another five and a half months ladies! “Notebook” Grade School Dunks and Air Max 90
|
Last summer we saw Nike stress the importance of education by way of the “Back To School Pack” that included an Elmer’s Blue Air Max 90, Composition Notebook Dunk High, and Crayola Crayons Vandals all in men’s sizes, but for this year Nike carries the Notebook theme in grade school sizes. The Dunk Low and Air Max 90 both come in the Notebook theme complete with the Composition cover pattern and lined paper across the upper. Get your Back to School shopping done a little early this season. These are available now at The Darkside Initiative. Info from High Snobiety. |
Nike Air Max 1 Premium “Medal Pack”
|
Much attention is focused on the upcoming Olympic Games taking place next month in Beijing. Though not the official outfitter at the Olympics (Adidas got the gig), Nike has a solid lineup of Olympics inspired gear for fans that extends from performance basketball sneakers all the way to the classic Air Max 1. Fit for the podium, three pairs were suited up in premium leather along with a metallic Swoosh and accents on the sneaker. To each his (or her) own on preference, but in this lineup, I think I would fake a cramp and take the silver or bronze. The “Medal Pack” Nike Air Max 1 Premiums first surfaced in Europe earlier this month but have been distributed to select spots as a quickstrike including Proper in Long Beach, CA. Proper |

Nike 112 Pack Release Update
|
DJ Clark Kent introduced the 112 Pack to us by giving away the kicks at Vinnie’s Styles in Brooklyn, the place this 112 Pack pays homage. It was unclear at the beginning to many why this collection of kicks was called the “112 Pack”, but it is because the Brooklyn ZIP codes all start with 112__. This weekend the 112 Pack Air Force 1, Air Max 1, and Air Trainer 1 will release at select spots nationwide as a quickstrike. Seattle area can grab some Starbucks and wait outside Rock Paper Scissors tomorrow morning (7/12) for the shoe’s release at 11AM. Quantities are limited for this release. Info from Sole Redemption. Nike Air Max BW Persian Violet
The end of this calendar year has plenty of great sneakers in line from Nike, but looking forward to 2009 has some long awaited returns as well. One of the most anticipated re-releases is the Nike Air Max BW in the Black/Persian Violet colorway that has not been seen in several years.
Some of you may remember the shoe lending inspiration to the Court Force earlier this year, but nothing beats the real deal. Photo thanks to r2b2 at CrookedTongues. |
