Nike Kobe Zoom81 Team Shoes

The third time was the charm for Kobe netting an MVP award this year with the Kobe III. Nike has reworked the Zoom Kobe III slightly to create a team shoe that resembles Kobe’s signature model. While bearing his name, this model is called the Zoom81 obviously after his epic performance where he put up 81 points back in 2006. The shoe’s appearance has received criticism for being too basic, but for those who were not a fan of the web covering the entire upper on the Kobe III, this may be the right balance. In the heel the shoe sports Vis Zoom (visible Zoom Air) as opposed to Vis Air or Max Air like many team shoes have in the past. No word yet on pricing or release details, but don’t be surprised if these drop just in time for the new season in fall. Pics thanks to docious of NT. |
Nort honors Kobe’s MVP Award
 Though the 29 year old Kobe Bryant has three rings, 10 trips to the All-Star Game, two scoring titles, he was awarded his first MVP award last night as he put up 34 points to put his team up 2-0 against the Utah Jazz.
To honor his achievement, Nort has produced a celebratory T-shirt for taking home MVP honors. Some of you may remember that two summers ago Stash and the Nort/Recon team were the people’s choice for their rendition of the Zoom Kobe 1. Now with all this attention circulating around Kobe, what better time for the premiumgoods x Kobe 1 to release (hint hint). |
Kobe Jumps Over Moving Car in Nike Hyperdunks

Just a few days ago Nike unveiled the Hyperdunk which is said to be the next generation in performance basketball shoes. The Hyperdunk will be worn by Kobe and other Team USA members this summer in Beijing if that torch can make it there unharmed. Yesterday Kobe posted a video that has become viral of him attempting to jump over a 50mph Aston Martin while wearing the Nike Hyperdunk. Many are speculating that a stunt double performed the actual jump, but you be the judge. I am quite confident that both Nike and the Lakers organization have a “no jumping over moving vehicles” clause in their contract with him. Picture of the shoes are posted after the jump. |
Nike Zoom Kobe 1 China Edition PE
| Life is pretty good for Kobe right now. Since the addition of Pau Gasol, the Lakers have climbed to the top of their division and now are tied for first in the West.
Across the Pacific, the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 has made a comeback released in a PE color up with his jersey number 24 stitched to the side as well. The White/Purple-Silver is a nice look especially with the clear sole, we’re holding out for the Premium Goods Kobe 1 (fingers crossed). Photos thanks to Kix Files. |

Nike Zoom Kobe III All-Star
Kobe makes his 10th consecutive All Star Game appearance next week in New Orleans. For the game he will take the court in a special Gold/Red colorway for the game to match the West All Star jerseys. Nike is releasing a limited number of the Nike Zoom Kobe III in the All Star colors to the public. LA locals can score a pair, tomorrow, Saturday, February 9th at Proper.

Adidas Crazy 8 III Samples
The third time was never a “charm” for Kobe nor is the number 3 lucky for him. The new Nike Kobe 3’s are anything but attractive, Adidas and Kobe parted ways before the Adidas Kobe III had the chance to release, and his first signature series with Adidas stopped after just three models ending with the KB8 III. Oh yeah, that blonde chick from Colorado, he took it to the hole in the summer of ‘03.
Adidas has been bringing back the Kobe and KB8 kicks for the past couple of years minus the images of Kobe while also replacing “Kobe” or “KB” with “Crazy” to keep Bryant’s agent happy and to avoid another lawsuit with Nike.
This time around Adidas is playing it safe with two Lakerish color ups. Just like the originals, Adidas made use of the Adiprene + cushioning and Feet You Wear technology (something they need to bring back for good).
The Crazy 8 III (aka KB8 III) was an important shoe for Kobe’s career as they were the shoes on his feet for his first NBA Championship in 2000 as well as when he went toe to toe with Chris Childs at the Garden. Sample shots leaked thanks to x-kicks.
