Converse 100th Anniversary November Releases

Converse 100th Anniversary November ReleasesAs Converse celebrates 100 years as a company, they have been releasing a couple shoes here and there each month. That is about to change quickly, as the November release is HUGE! The picture to the right is just a sample of the releases hitting Japanese Retailers in November.

The celebration continues next month with a variety of Chuck Taylors, some Jack Purcells, Pro Leather Hi’s and One Stars. For the basketball heads, check out the 2 pair of Converse Weapons in this release. You know, the ones we saw in those infamous Bird Vs. Magic, choose your “Weapon” commercials. The colorways on both the One Star Lows are nice looking as well.
Detailed pics after the jump, thanks to Hypebeast. I want to see some Weapon Highs in Orlando Magic colors, and maybe a pair in Boston Celtics colors, how bout you?

Converse Wade 4 Black/Red/White

Converse Wade 4D.Wade showed the world how healthy he is in the Olympics with his high flying antics and intense defense. He also showcased his brand new Converse Wade 4 for the first time for all to gaze at around the world - kind of.  While Wade had the 4th edition of the Converse Wade series, he wore them only in pre-game warm-ups in Beijing.

This is the first colorway dropping for the Miami Heat guard this season in the Black/Red/White to match his uniform. The shoe has ventilation shafts to lessen the humidity during game play and a speckled midsole. These will be releasing late October.  Thanks to Kenlu.net for the preview.

Wood Wood x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

Wood Wood Converse Chuck Taylor All Star HiAs part of Converse’s inspiring creative 1HUND(RED) Artists’ footwear collaboration with PRODUCT (RED), the brand pays homage to its heritage as an optimistic rebel with the unveiling of a future icon: The limited edition Wood Wood Chuck Taylor All Star® hi-top. Known as Artist 26 throughout the unique project, Wood Wood’s shoe features premium suede leather upper in powder purple as well as monochromatic matching laces and coordinating rubber soles. Wood appears on both the Left and Right shoe’s tongue upper while each shoe has perforation detail that reveals a hidden constellation pattern.
The year-long global curation project was designed to promote and preserve culture to further support Converse’s long-term partnership with (PRODUCT) RED. Artists were sent a design kit consisting of a blank Chuck Taylor shoe, pens, pencils, RED background info, and art materials to help assist them in their creative process. Each of the artists returned their unique takes on the classic sneaker silhouette for Converse to begin manufacturing the shoes in the collaboration.

Elton Brand is a sixer if you haven’t been keeping up with basketball trades that resulted in the off season. With a new team Elton has a brand new shoe deal and in grand fashion the dream of any NBA star, to have his own signature shoe. This is the Converse EB1 which was designed by Dwayne Lawrence from Converse. Now big men signature shoes have been an endangered species of the sorts to us in the footwear market. Elton’s shoe is a return to the good ol days of Derrick Coleman and “Zo” Mourning having their own kicks. Click on the jump to catch a glimpse , thanks to Kenlu.net
