David Z x Asics Gel Lyte III Available Online

Ronnie Fieg, buyer and designer for David Z, was greeted this morning with a lineup outside of the flagship store waiting for the release of the latest special make up. This marks the seventh Gel Lyte III that Ronnie has designed for an ongoing series of collabs with Asics. Though many pairs sold first thing in the morning, there are still a few pairs left but the online shop is stocked and ready to go. Grab while you can for $100 at DavidZ.com. |
Asics Gel Lyte III x DavidZ “Black Patent”
|
The Asics Gel Lyte III has quickly become a popular model for collaborations. This David Z x Asics Gel Lyte III may be the best one we’ve seen yet. Ronnie Fieg of David Z has been the man behind the previous David Z collaborations we have shared with you and this is his seventh Gel Lyte III he has worked on in case you lost count. This colorway is always a winning combination, but the materials really set this Gel Lyte III apart from the rest. The black patent leather mixed with grey suede looks incredible. Only thing missing is a little splash of red on the heel and lace stays, oh wait, they he has that taken care of too. I suppose the only thing left, would be to make this drop extremely limited, say maybe…only 200 made. That pretty much means that you need to be in the know for this release unless you want to shop eBay for higher prices if they even make it there. The shoes drop Friday, Oct. 3rd at the David Z flagship store in SoHo as well as online at DavidZ.com for $100. Plenty of detailed pics after the jump, give them a look, let us know what you think. |
Solebox Asics Gel Lyte III Unbranded
The Solebox Asics Gel Lyte III released late last month exclusively at Solebox in Berlin. The second coming of these will hit stores on Saturday the 27th. Unfortunately they will only be available here in the US at Alife NYC. The Solebox Gel Lyte IIIs will feature all of the same color grey suede and color changing stripes as the first release, but if you didn’t get them from Solebox, then the Solebox logo will be replaced with the Gel Lyte III logo.
Remember only 350 pairs will be sold, so better be there early. The shoes will be priced at 120€ in Europe, for the few pairs that make it to Alife that is approximately $175. For all the stores these will drop at check after the jump. |
Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III Purple Haze/Blueberry Pack
Maybe I’m in a bad mood today or something, but I can’t seem to find much good to say about any of these new drops. This Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III Purple Haze/Blueberry Pack looks like something you would see at the circus. At least I assume, I mean, I haven’t been to a circus since I was a little kid. Back then it was like everyone was rockin Ronald McDonald’s shoes. I’m guessing they have updated, not that these are any better, but maybe a little more comfortable. Maybe somebody could hit me up with some recent circus clown pics, and let me know if these Asics are popular on the circus circuit.
Really though, putting patent leather on a light weight, breathable shoe like the Gel Lyte III should be a punishable offense. Then putting polka dots and a print that looks like a dead elephant skin is just agonizing to me. It’s possible you might get elephantitis by looking at the pics after the jump, so be careful there are a lot of them. Info via Flauge. |
Asics GT-II LE
|
The Asics Gel Lyte II LE is another old school joint revisited, that will help bring Asics back up to the top of the shoe game. The white on white is a can’t miss, that’s always nice to have in the closet. The second of this release, the black/anthracite/grey colorway, brings a new print style to the table. The texture of the material is intriguing to say the least. It is similar to the materials that are available at the Nike iD studio, but with an Asics twist. This makes for a subtle look that will definitely cause people to take a second glance. It looks like a winning concept to me. What do you think? Check out the detailed pics after the break. |
Solebox Asics Gel Lyte III Part 2
The Solebox Asics Gel Lyte III released late last month exclusively at their store in Berlin, but round zwei (”two” in German) of the shoes will be coming very shortly. The second round of the Solebox Gel Lyte IIIs will feature all of the same color changing tricks of the first release; however, the Solebox logo was removed.
Only 350 pairs will be spread across 16 shops in Europe, Mita in Japan, and Alife in the US for the release taking place September 27th. The shoes will be priced at 120€ across the pond, but no word yet what the price will be for the few pairs that will land in the US at Alife. Full list of stores graced with the second release listed after the jump. |
Asics GT Quick Grey/Green
Asics has been bringing their “A” game as of late on more than just the Gel Lyte III. You may remember the White/Royal/Orange GT Quick’s or David Z’s GT Quicks that we brought to you earlier this summer.. These new joints would be a perfect shoe for hitting up a game this season on throwback jersey night for the Seahawks, Mavericks, or Canucks. Sneakersnstuff has these available now for 116.91€. Plenty of nice of shots after the jump. |
