Adidas Boston Celtics Superstar
Since everyone else seems to be celebrating LeBron and Kobe and the “Redeem Team”, Adidas decided to pay homage to the World Champion Boston Celtics with a rendition of the Superstar.
The Adidas Boston Celtics Superstar is an incredible tribute to the Celtics. On the heel, it features the stitched championship trophy silhouette, and the number 17 to represent the number of times the Celtics have taken home the championship. The team logo on the heel looks perfect, and the inner side panels “Boston” on the left shoe, and “Celtics” on the right. Lastly, World Champions 07-08 is printed on the side. You don’t have to be a Celtics fan to appreciate the effort from Adidas on these, but you probably will have to hold back the tears if you’re a Laker fan. Via CrookedTongues. |
2008 Adidas Basketball Lineup
|
Basketball season is right around the corner, and the preseason games have given us a chance to see which basketball players are wearing what sneakers. Two Adidas models that have been making a big splash are the Adidas TS Commander and the Adidas TS Creator. Our Kicks On Court Editions have spotted these shoes in the preseason games consistently. The 2008 Adidas Basketball Lineup features the two models in player exclusive styles. The Commander PEs, mostly worn by the big men, include Kevin Garnett (shown above), Tim Duncan, and Dwight Howard. The Creator PEs, generally for the guards, include Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups, and Gilbert Arenas. Some of the PEs possess individual features pertaining to the specific player. For example, Chauncey Billups’s Adidas TS Creator has the words, ‘Mr. Big Shot’ written on the ankle area. Kevin Garnett’s Adidas TS Commander has a picture of his face in the same place. Herr Fritz Träumer was a designer who dedicated his life to creating sneakers. Always thinking outside the box, Träumer wrote a series of notebooks that featured his daydreams of completely unimaginable sneaker creations that were well beyond their normal everyday functions.
