First Look: Air Jordan 7 Olympic Collection
 Sixteen years ago Michael Jordan and the Dream Team dominated the Olympic Games in Barcelona while wearing the Air Jordan 7 in a special Olympic colorway to match the Team USA uniform.
The world debut of this shoe will take place in Barcelona, Spain at a special grand opening of a new shop on July 4th, right in the middle of Bread and Butter. Let the guessing begin - more hints, details, and photos to come. These leaked sample photos were first posted on Nike Talk. |

i am as real as it gets when it comes to jordans. i love my jordans and im not afraid to say when i think a shoe is ugly and not up to air jordan standards. many of us, not even collectors have spent thousands of dollars over the years for jordans. i think i should be able to voice my opinion. i deserve that right. to say that only real jordan heads would wear these is laughable. that just tells me you are either young, or you just started wearing jordans not too long ago, or you are a casual jordan buyer. but most likely the first 2 options. you obviously dont know about when mike dropped straight fire every year. even my father wore jordans. back then all his shoes were flawless, you couldn’t complain about any of them. jordans aren’t the same anymore.and only a ”true jordan head” would know this. now this is my opinion, but dont you notice how much more everyone is opinionated about jordans then they used to be?
these aren’t even that bad, but not a classic by any means

I keep reading these comments of you are not a True Jordan Head or Fan if you don’t like these sneakers. Somebody PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell what the HELL is a True Jordan Heads IS. honestly ive seen fakes better than these and my school is flooded with fake retros, fusions, and af1’s. a TRUE jordan fan could admit when jordan is losing touch with what made them, not just seeing it and supporting it with the xcuse “if i dont like it then im not a true fan”.
alot of the time i get af1’s because i refuse to pay high doller for mashups, fusions with 2 many colorways, or the overpriced packs that should sold sepratly because not everybody wants the other pair.

People are talkin about “true jordan fans” liking these. Why? Because they have a jumpman? Come on now…. I don’t pretend to have been around from the begining, but I know that these definatley aren’t the jordans the world fell in love with. The fans dont have to change with the brand…. If you were a fan of Nas and he suddenly started doing country albums, would you stick with him just because he’s Nas? No, you might listen to the new stuff to see if you like it, but if you didn’t you’d remain a fan of the old Nas.
If you consider “true jordan fans” to be people who are fans of the new direction JB is going in…. That’s your opinion. I don’t know how you can think that, but it is your opinion, and I respect that. I have to say though, who exactly gets to decide what a “true jordan fan” is?
And btw this is kind of an outsider view, because the shoe that got me addicted was the air force 1. I like jordans and I have alot of respect for the man, but I definatley don’t consider myself a “true jordan fan”.

much props for bringing that discussion back up. I think that this shoe strikes that chord better than any. I have no shame in telling people I have begun to build a relationship at Jordan Brand that I can not stand this shoe though I love Air Jordans.
I am a bit of a Puritan when it comes to Jordans since I think the shoes should remain somewhat sacred given what the man did in the shoes. I have begun to tolerate some liberal adjustments to them as times have changed, Jordan is no longer pwning the NBA and the world in the Jordan 7s, but I just can’t stomach this particular pair.
I am a Jordan fan until I D-I-E, but not wishing to spend my hard earned cash on this pair does not make me love Air Jordans any less imo - still a Jordan head.

wow i swear jordan waits for all the bootleggers in china to come out with some of there own color ways and then take them and actually put them into production because i actually seen a jordan fake color way then jordan actually released the shoe in that color-way a few months later but not just that jordan is messing up big time i use to be a jordan head i have been faithful to JB too long i just recently started wearing sb dunks dont get it wrong i still wear my j’s and im still loyal to JB theres a couple of good pairs that drop every now and then. Seriously dont these look like they another pair of china fakes like they didn’t even do a good job on the painting for the samples come on now the samples are supposed to always look better than the original released pair to tell you the truth im going to make these now out of my old citrus 7’s i guarantee you you probably couldn’t tell he difference except for the suede on the toe. Like with the some of the shoes JB are releasing now you could mistake the authentics from the fakes seriously if you seen someone wearing these in school you probably wouldn’t know if they were authentic or, and most of the time people spend their hard earned money on an expensive jordan mostly for bragging rights now if you spent about 310$ on a pair of authentic jordans now your in class trying to stunt and people are like those fake azz jordans when you know yourself there authentic and you just worked hard for these and now not only that lowers your self esteem but you feel like a jack azz and now your known for the kid in school that wears fake j’s and that reputation can do alot to you, i know most of you are like okay im over exaggerating now but this happened to my friends before when the jordan laser 5 released my friends bought them but maybe what JB need to do is launch a online program allowing the community to come up with deigns color-ways and thoughts for a jordan shoe and we could just vote online or submit our thoughts on the shoe and if a certain shoe should be released or not that way everyone is happy in fact that sounds like a pretty darn good idea i just might draw up some designs and make some color-ways and shoe samples and launch up a site so the community could vote on their favorites so that way JB could see and know what we want so the next time there in the production room they could take our ideas into consideration and everybody could be happy at this point jordan wouldn’t waste money on an ugly shoe that will flop on sales the way i see it hey they have nothing to loose.

i been sayin Jordan has been fallin off for years. even some of their retro colors have been lame. i understand makin money is the goal, but one of the things that made Jordans so hot was their exclusivity. now you got Jordans droppin every week or two, and the majority of them are ass. the only Js i will spend my money on are AJ1-23(i got some Melo’s cuz i only paid $15). none of that jumpman shyt, team jordan shyt, or “we dont have a shoe releasin in May so we’ll put these out” shyt. i’ve been relatively keepin my mouth shut about it, partially cuz school full time while payin rent doesnt leave a lot of money for Js but its gettin ridiculous. Looks like JB’s target are the young kids who don’t know any better. Thats the only crowd I can see getting these unless collectors get them to put inside a case. JB would make alot more money if they would drop a couple of retros a year in some exclusive colorways, then it would get back to the old days when people would line up the day before to get shoes.

I dont even know what to say about these. Nobody with good sense and style would cop these. I love Jordan Brand but these VII’s are the worst. The make-up is suspect. Being a sample, maybe the show will have a better look if released.

i was at niketown beverly hills this past weekend and they showed me a pair of jordan 6’s that were supposed to be the beijhing olympics color way was the same as these 7’s but it was a pat. leather. wack as hell too. the shoe game is not what it used to be the bigger corps. are dropping shoes every weekend and saying that they are exclusives and they are dropping shoes in wack ass color ways saying that they are limited releases. man they are just doing that because they know that it’s a trend and a big craze and they are capitalizeing on it knowing that you are going to spend the money and stand in line for these ugly wack ass shoes. the hype ain’t real don’t believe in it.

As a huge Jordan fan from Australia I would just like to say, THANK GOD WE DON’T GET A LARGE JORDAN RANGE IN AUSTRALIA. This is one pair of shoes I wont be chasing!!!!! Even though jordan sevens are my fave. Bring back bordeaux. Now that’s a real shoe.

i don’t really believe these are official, i never really saw a jordan look this sloppy and just ghetto stupid. looks like someone went to work on these with a can of spray paint. i don’t know about everyone else but when people say “trashy” jordans this is the embodyment of the description. let the cornballs rock these while listening to whatever they play on hot grimey seven with their matching dresses. i’ll be waiting for the real classics.

you know what…. im new to jordans! i have had chances to buy some but nothing really caught my eye like the jordan olypic 6’s. lots of people dont like them but they are shoes that u can tell some one put in a LOT of work to make. i love everything about the shoes. i see comments on where the picture is and people are talking about the jordan olypic 7’s and i’d have to agree with most of them: these shoes have just way to much going on. THEY ARE NOT CUTE AND I WOULD NOT WEAR THEM!
