Tell us a little about you and your position at the store: I am the buyer for Wealthy Hostage. It is my job to forecast trends in clothing to form a collection for the store that will interest our clientele. It is our business to cater to our clientele and to introduce them to new styles and brands that will complement their current style.
What makes your store special? Well, the store is special because at the time when Gene formulated the idea for a Streetwear Boutique in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, this was the only store in this area that provide that kind clothing and sneakers. Currently, Wealthy is the store that set the trend for the other stores that have since opened. They wait to see what brands we carry and then they try and open accounts with those brands
Shoe that got you hooked: Silver Flightposite the Euro edition. Once I got them I was hooked. I was the only one in school with these and it gave me a high I never wanted to lose. My fave pair I don’t own are the black and voltage Foamposites. I have been seeking for these for years! As far as my collection is concerned, I choose to keep that private, but I have some quality pairs and I up to a good amount.

Which upcoming release are you looking forward to? I am looking forward to the copper foamposites. I need 3 pairs for sure.
If I did not have a job as a buyer, I would be: A designer. Concurrently, I do design tees and hats.
One reason why shoes matter: Shoes are important. Whole outfits and color palettes have been put together around the kicks.
One reason you love shoes: I love shoes because when I was younger I collected some but as I got older I started to collect kicks instead. I also had a chance to design my own kicks, and I wear them and others get to see them. This also lets me know what consumers want.
