Tracksmith and PUMA Honor the Legacy of Speed City

Head to the races with the all-new Tracksmith x PUMA collection. This sportswear capsule is inspired by the legacy of Speed City — the dominant California men’s collegiate running program of the mid-20th century, whose athletes were champions in both performance and social justice.

The Tracksmith x PUMA collection reimagines the Speed City team kits inspired by archival images of the athletes at practice and on race day. The team’s signature Navy and Gold dresses various jerseys, shorts, jackets, tees, and more.

But more than just team colors, this capsule honors Speed City’s culture of courage and fight for social justice. Through initiatives like the Olympic Project for Human Rights and the 1968 Mexico City protest, Speed City became known for setting new standards and paving the way for future athletes. This legacy lives on as Tracksmith and PUMA have pledged to donate 5% of the proceeds from the Speed City Collection to the Tracksmith Foundation — an organization dedicated to protect and create opportunities for youth in track and field.

The Tracksmith x PUMA collection is available now. To purchase, visit,, and select retailers. Take a look at the campaign below and follow @NiceDrops on Twitter.
