The Ugly – Overlooking the Doernbecher Cause

When official photos and information regarding the Air Jordan 5 “Doernbecher” hit the Internet this past week, sneaker fans across the world took notice. The hype surrounding the shoe, however, appeared to cause many to overlook the inspiration and story behind the design itself, which was created in tribute to Doernbecher Freestyle program patient Isaac Arzate, who passed away last year.
