Famously released back in 2010, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Copper” immediately became one of the most popular foamposites of all-time. Titled after Anfernee Hardway’s nickname, Penny, the shoe was a gleaming triumph for the signature line, and would pay even greater dividends in the years that followed.

More Nike Basketball sneakers – some belonging to Hardaway – would carry on the “Copper” theme all generating some level of success. None as much as the “Copper” foams, though, which return this year in honor of the silhouettes 20th anniversary.

Seen today in a side-by-side comparison, the 2017 retro appears brighter than the original. Additionally, the translucent outer glows where the 2010 edition has dimmed over the years. Take a look at both pairs below and let us know if you plan to grab “Copper” Foamposite One when they release later this year.
