Kyrie Irving has been a focal point of conversation for the Brooklyn Nets, with no affirmative plan of stepping on-court anytime soon. Regardless, his eighth signature sneaker with Nike is still on the way, with full intention of releasing in a plethora of colorways and in a combination of packs. Case in point: this Nike Kyrie 8 “N7.”
Previously, Kyrie’s signature sneakers have been included in the annual N7 Collections, primarily due to his late mother’s Standing Rock Sioux ancestry. As such, it’s no surprise to see Kyrie’s latest signature being teased as the collection’s headliner.
The indigenous cultural inspiration is seen atop the Kyrie 8, with symbolic tan uppers featured across the different materials. Moreover, detailing of his Standing Rock Sioux roots are seen on the tongue, with his Lakota name “Hela” present along with the words “Standing Rock.” Rounding out the special collection, “N7” branding is seen on the insole and heel.
It’s anticipated that the Nike Kyrie 8 “N7” will release alongside the rest of the collection, with the date yet to be determined. Stay tuned to Nice Kicks for further updates as they unveil.
