As New Balance continues to dig into its archive for the iconic 990 series for collaborations and general releases, they are looking to the future as well as we approach the 40th anniversary of the 990. And now, we get an official look at the New Balance 990v6 which is set to drop later this year.
Taking a more rounded shape than the earlier 990s, the sneaker features grey mesh and grey suede with 3M reflective accents. The N logo is still seen on the medial and lateral sides with 990 branding featured on the lateral heel and on the tongue. The chunkier midsole features Fuelcell cushioning for the first time for the 990 with a black and grey rubber outsole finishing off the sneaker.
