PUMA Calls On Foot Locker & Staple For Latest Collaborative Clyde

Renown designer Jeff Staple has enjoyed a long tenure run with Puma, having worked on various designs for the Boston-based brand. Cycling back to a Staple favorite, the Staple Pigeon owner has tapped the Puma Clyde for special “Yin-Yang” make.

Inspired by the well-known Chinese philosophy of Yin-Yang, the contrast between beauty and chaos is on full display. Staple’s design on the Clyde, specifically the contrast between light and dark, pays tribute to the recent attacks on the Asian community.

As with the ancient philosophy, the lateral side is painted in white while the medial side is seen in black. In contrast, both sides also feature their opposing colors. Along the lateral heel, the iconic Staple Pigeon is perched atop the midsole.

To drive awareness towards the Asian community, the first drop of the Jeff Staple x Foot Locker x Puma Clyde will be occurring in Chinatown NYC. For every $25 spent at local businesses in the area, one can earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a free pair. Make sure to save your receipts! From there, on April 21, the people at Nom Wah Tea Parlor will validate receipts and hand out tickets.
