Aging with grace and taking a different approach to ‘Dad Style,’ Fabolous can still hang with the kids when it comes to rocking fly kicks and contemporary fits. After restricting his adidas deal in the summer of 2016, Kanye West and the Three Stripes made it clear more Yeezys were on the way and that Ye would get gain from making other models from the brand pop. The expected part of the extension resulted in early wears of some still unreleased Yeezys while the latter lent juice to the likes of Sambas and Gazelles. While 2017 proved more about rest and rebuilding for West than releasing music, he proved influential with all of his releases moving fast and his very casual style captivating Kanye fans old and new alike.

While everyone can agree designers know more about fashion than any rapper, athlete or model, few actually want to dress like them. Why? Because they’re boring. Much of knowing the style of others is knowing that of yourself, which usually results in a simplistic, utilitarian wardrobe that’s much more practical than exciting.
In 2017, Virgil Abloh wears the ‘designer’ hat among many other tags, but he also wears clothes from his own collection and his peers. Often experimenting with the shape and structure of his own outfit while debuting designs of his own, Abloh was one to watch and dress like in the year that was.

Rocking literal fan gear fetches cheers and boos alike, but you can’t be mad at Conceited when it comes to kicks. Digging in the crates to the delight of OGs, the young comic/rapper has heat that hasn’t dropped in decades most would be afraid to wear. While shoe stunting can be too much about racing to be first, it’s refreshing to see someone who’s been about it and has the throwback favorites to prove it.
Best Wears: Nike Air Yeezy 1s & 2s, NERD x adidas NMD, fragment x Air Jordan 1, Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo, KAWS x Air Jordan 4
Establishing an aesthetic and identity as an artist in the previous few years, G Eazy has retained shape but shifted style in impressive fashion. Mixing in OG Yeezys and Flight Club Jordans with his standard resume of fitted jeans and noir centric outfits, young Gerald is making a name for himself in the fashion scene and footwear lane.

Never lacking positive energy or sneaker heat, DJ Khaled had another big year with Jordan Brand there for the whole ride. Whether on Snap or on the red carpet, the WTB general and proud father flexed with unreleased Airs and even his own PE pair.
