Set to releases alongside their delectable Wagyu beef-inspired Air Force 1, Nike Japan and Japanese retailer BAIT will also be dropping a pair of AF1s inspired by mecha model kits.
For fans of anime, and specifically Gundam, this upcoming BAIT x Nike Air Force 1 Low boasts removable Velcro parts so wearers can build and customize their sneakers similar to a model kit. Essentially mirroring a DIY-aesthetic, each Velcro constructed piece can intentionally be misplaced or situated in its proper spot. However, if opting for the latter, the overlays don’t lie completely flat to their sections, which gives the silhouette a very unique look.
Created in honor of Tokyo Comic-Con, this BAIT x Nike Air Force 1 is set to release on December 6 exclusively at the event.
