Could it be? The summer of 2010 saw Tiffany Beers, Michael Friton, and Tinker Hatfiled file patent papers on behalf of Nike for a shoe with an automatic lacing system similar to that of the Nike Air Mag. Spotted by Dime and confirmed by the World Intellectual Property Oranization, the story perked the interest of sneaker lovers, movie buffs, and techies. Could it happen? Would we have to wait until 2015?
