After breaking them out in an alumni game at Weber State, Damian Lillard and adidas has officially released photos of Dame’s eighth signature sneaker, the adidas Dame 8, and the sneaker and colorway are inspired by boxing, with Dame having a reputation of being clutch and ready to deliver the K.O. in crunch time.
The sneaker uses a mesh base in a bright pastel yellow and deep purple, with the 3 Stripes appearing on the lateral side and “DAME” printed on the medial side as well as on the heel patch. TPU and synthetic overlays are featured throughout, with a funky pulltab on the medial side of the sneaker. The cushioning system uses Bounce Pro, which looks to be an updated and upgraded version of Bounce and ditches Lightstrike used on the adidas Dame series the past few years. Lastly, a wavy herringbone pattern is used on the outsole for traction.
