So, here’s a question you’ll probably never see again on a sneaker website: ever lay eyes on an albino gorilla? If not, you’re about to see one in sneaker form by way of the X-LARGE x 24 Kilates x Diadora N9000 “Copito” shoe releasing next weekend.
The primate specifically referenced for this release is Copito, who lived at the Barcelona Zoo from 1996 until he passed in 2003. His furry white coat and pinkish body serves as the inspiration for this release, which denotes a wide array of materials including premium suede, nubuck, kangaroo leather, reflective 3M accents and pony hair construction at the heel. The shoe maneuvers between white, off-white and pink hues for a palette directly derived from Copito and his kind.
