After first making a name for himself in the footwear design pantheon as one part of team YEEZY, Salehe Bembury has since turned eyes towards his new work with luxury brand Versace. First capturing intrigue through an avant-garde and progressive Chain Reaction silhouette, Bembury now previews a budding fall/winter 2018 knit silhouette.
Although by design a new knitted sneaker doesn’t exactly scream innovation, the youthful designer ensures his creation stands alone by remixing the overall build and midsole tooling. A soft texture coats the upper in a slimmed stance, while the sock-like ankle collar is even more defined and tighter above the ankle. Tongue and heel decorations add further distinction to Bembury’s upcoming f/w silhouette which hovers above a puffy, cloud-like midsole. And, while the lateral siding is clean, it appears the medial is bolstered by Versace script.
