Top 25 Sneaker Stores - Dime Magazine

Dime Magazine released it’s first issue in 2002 - a time when sneaker culture was still relatively small and underground nationwide. I remember buying Air Jordan IIIs in 2002 on clearance, today, they sell out opening day nationwide just to give you an idea how much things have changed.

In the latest issue, Dime Magazine ranks the top 25 sneaker shops. From Boston to L.A. and everywhere in between, Dime has made a pretty good list of great shops to look for some rare sneakers. Below is the list:
1. Flight Club
2. Alife
3. Bodega
4. Sportie L.A.
5. Training Camp
6. Nort/Recon
7. Undefeated
8. Goodfoot
9. HUF
10. Atmos
11. Proper
12. Commonwealth
13. Phli
14. Dave’s Quality Meat
15. Goliath RF
16. Just Be Complex
17. Packer Shoes
18. Premium Goods
19. Goods
20. Grey One
21. Reed Space
22. Prestigious
23. Capitol 1524
24. St. Alfred
25. 2 Doors Down

  12. This is almost like ranking best high schools in the nation if you ask me. Each sneaker shop on the list is great and in your local is the best, but pairing one against the other is pretty hard if you ask me - especially when they are across the country.

I definately think that UNDFTD and Prestigious were terribly underrated and there are a handful of shops I have been to that are not even on the list when they deserve to be.

I guess NiceKicks.com will need to make their own list then… :-D
