Throwback Thursday Week 1 - Air Jordan 1

Something we have wanted to do was start a weekly column on the site as well as share with some of you the shoes that are important to us at Nice Kicks. Each week, we will post up one of our favorite sneakers from yesteryear and a little info about them.

We couldn’t kick off this campaign any other way than to start with the Air Jordans that changed sneakers for generations - the Air Jordan 1. The original Air Jordan 1 is an important pair of Air Jordans to me, but this colorway was extra important since it was White/Black without red.

Call me crazy, but the black toes and the other White/Black-Red colorway just don’t do it for me like these. One thing you will notice different about these compared to the retro Air Jordan 1s from 2001 forward is that these are a high top cut with 9 lace holes. Not to sound like a broken record, or my dad talking about cars, “they don’t make ‘em like they used to.”
Since we want to encourage interactivity among Nice Kicks members, please feel free to throw up your Air Jordan 1s. Retro, OG, DS, or beat, we don’t care! Show us what you have.
