The Mystery of Flying Kicks

Flying Kicks MysteryWe have all seen them hanging from electric lines or light poles, but what do the shoes hanging from above actually mean? Some say it’s in memory of someone others claim it’s a way to mark territory, but does any really know the origin of the practice?

A group of filmmakers from Australia have set out to conquer this age old question. The filmmakers will be calling on the global public to help them solve this mystery and make the film. To chime in and tell them what you know, go to their site, flying-kicks.com, and there you can use Skype to leave a voice mail of what you know about hanging sneakers. Info from Sneaker Freaker.

  6. It all depends. Where I’m from some people have thrown their partners/family member shoes up in memory of that person…

I also heard back in the day that a “dope” track area was nearby when you saw this….

On a lighter note, my girlfriend is totally for me wearing Jordan 11 DMP with my tux in the wedding!!!!!! When it happens, I will post them online.

  13. If you ever seen “My Block” from Scarface, as the ambulance puts the sheet over the body, the next scene is a guy throwin a pair of kix over the powerlines. It stands for someone leavin or dyin. Talk to an ol’ G and he will tell you.

  14. It all depends on the brand of sneaker that has been tossed. If its a Nike then the sneaker is in memory of someone. if its an adidas then its a drug spot (all day i dream about scoring). if its a starbury then its a Housing Authority spot or they accept WIC nearby. if its a puma then its a dl Black Panther meeting spot (yes they are still around props to the OG’s). if its chuck then ur in compton and should really start running, you’re already in someone’s scope. if its a sandal then the coconut icey man stops there regularly. if its a jordan then you’re probably on the set of a new Spike Lee Joint, get out of the shot dumby!

thre it is, no need to watch the movie I just summed it all up.
    j/k

  17. Its a few things in the world that I really dont like, and some of them are:

    A)a person tryna clown someone

    b)a co-signer

Ive met 3 brothers of Tookie Wiliams, one of the founders of the Crips. Im related to the guy that killed Bhudda, and rolled through the “Avenues”. An O.L.’G(Oringinal Legendary Gangster, [yes thats what they are called], or Tripple O G’s) told me about the shoes on the line. “O.L.” is pronouced “ol” Before you try and correct someone, do your homework.
Next time Ill type everything to perfection, kinda like now. I will capitalize, and put the proper punctuation between, and at the end of each sentence for all you simpletons. Made simple typing errors, and you get a clown, and a co-signer on his gooch. Its cool though, Im in Afghanistan protecting people like you, and when I say that, I mean “assh*les”. Six Points up!
I love to enlighten muhf*uckers like you all.
