Sneaker Discography: Yeezy Colorways Inspired by Kanye West Album Covers

If it's black, pink and anywhere close to glow-in-the-dark, it's dubbed a "Yeezy" colorway, and while it has been a game-changing color scheme, it's surprising that Kanye West hasn't drawn inspiration from his album covers' artwork. In this rundown, we explore a number of color options derived from West's albums, draped over the two signature sneakers in his Nike Air Yeezy line. Should there be more colorways of the Yeezys? Drop a line in the comments and vote on which rendering you'd like to see.

Hue Hype: 5 “Yeezy” Inspired Nike Sportswear Releases We’d Like to See

Unless you were one of the few and fortunate to score a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2's in 2012, you know that aside from dropping a stack of cash (upwards of $2,000), all that's left to hope for is a pair of kicks dressed in the trademark "Yeezy colors." With the Nike Roshe Run FB and Nike Air Max 1 FB being released in a color scheme that's more or less "Yeezy-esque", it has begged the question of what other silhouettes are due for a Yeezy-Up. So, in our rundown, we make some subtle changes on a few models that we wouldn't mind seeing Nike release. Check it out, and let us know what sneaker should be next up for a Yeezy treatment.

Nike Solarsoft Moccasin

Alright, you might be on the fence as to whether the Nike Roshe Run FB was a nod to the Yeezy 2, but with the newest colorway of the Nike Solarsoft Moccasin featuring a texture similar to that seen on the original black and pink Yeezy 1, Nike should have just thrown on a glow in the dark sole.

Nike Zoom Turf Jet '97

While no one is complaining about the Nike Zoom Turf Jet '97 making a return, it wouldn't hurt for the model to get a modern update in the form of an all-new colorway.

Air Jordan 4 “Yeezy Revelation” Custom

Justin Douglas and Rob Cruz collaborate on the Air Jordan 4 “Yeezy Revelation” Custom. The MJ classic gets reconstructed in Kanye fashion, taking on the molded heel, Torch tongue, and midfoot strap made popular by the stylish signature. Python paneling and a Black/Solar Red finish add to the mix, with a glow-in-the-dark sole and custom packaging finishing off this hybrid custom. For order inquiries, contact @ammoskunk.
