The Nike KD V was released in a number of great colorways last year, but not every great colorway cooked up by Nike makes it to retail. This "Thunder Camo" colorup of Kevin Durant's fifth signature shoe with Nike Basketball did not release, but is available in a lone size 12 at eBay. If the upper wasn't enough to catch your eye, peep the icy blue outsole. If this pair had hit shelves, would you have copped or dropped?
This Saturday, Sneaker Con invades the south by making its first official stop in Houston. To celebrate the event, Sneaker Con has teamed up with Kickasso for the launch of the Nike KD V "Heat Advisory" Custom. This fiery take on the KD V sees hot hues all over the upper in graphic fashion, backed by a black base. 24 pairs of the Nike KD V "Heat Advisory" Custom will release exclusively at Sneaker Con Houston this weekend. Click here to purchase tickets and look for official release details to be announced on the @sneakercon Instagram page this Saturday.
Despite Kevin Durant's Instagram handle "easymoneysniper," we have yet to see any colorways crafted as an ode to the basketball superstar's self-declared nickname. Taking up this task on the Nike KD V, AMAC Customs goes in on the recently retired signature. Tackling the sniper aspect, camo print covers the upper, including carefully painted-on sniper rifle crosshairs. "Easy" comes in stencil sprayed to the ankle collar, with an appropriate dollar sign seemingly residing underneath the Nike swoosh. What's your take on the sniper-spun colorway? Should Nike adopt this idea on the KD VI?
The kickoff colorway of the Nike KD VI provides inspiration on the Nike KD V “Pre-Heat” Custom. Created by AMAC Custom Kicks, this shoe sports a striped upper, set off by bright pink branding and green trim. Blue laces and dark grey lining provide contrast, with white capping off the outsole. Check out detailed pics below and visit AMAC Customs for all order inquiries.
Cooked up by the Chef of GourmetKickz customs, we present the latest addition to his "305" pack, revisualization of the Nike KD V. Similar to previous sneakers in his portfolio, a tropical watercolor print is used as an overlay on the midsole which lends itself well against the "Easter" upper of the KD V. With the swooshes painted grey to simplify things, the attention is diverted to the speckled hot pink and orange fish in place as a lace lock. Not for nothing, that lace lock is also a standout feature in the dark, in addition to the midsole as each possess glow-in-the-dark capabilities. Are you digging this KD V done up for Miami Beach? Just because the Nike KD VI is gaining steam, doesn't mean it has completely taken over the tracks. Kevin Durant recently took to his Instagram to show off an all-red colorway of his fifth signature shoe, the Nike KD V. Dressed in an entirely red getup, this KD V is blazing with not one contrasting color.
