Earlier this year, travel bag extraordinaire Herschel and New Balance united on a collection of sneakers and bags. Now, the second part of the capsule collection is set to release. The Herschel Supply Co. x New Balance H710 Collection wraps three of the celebrated boot models in monochromatic color schemes. The upper is composed of mostly plush, textured suede, including the “N” branding on the midpanels. That suede lies over durable ripstop material, which makes its way ont the tongue as well. Tonal, flat waxed laces string into D-ring eyelets to keep the boot aesthetic in tact. The fairly simple makeup is jazzed up a bit by employing the Herschel Co. paisley pattern on the inner lining. Rugged rubber outsoles take this shoe from stylish to functional. Custom branding on the tongue and insole provide the finishing touches to this collaborative project.
New Balance is no stranger to the collaboration, and is not afraid to tap into the talents of unconventional partners. Such is the case, as they have teamed with famous Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue for the Shawn Yue x New Balance 996 Revlite “Common Sense” Collection. The 996 is a staple model in the New Balance lineup, and the 996 Revlite is a technological upgrade from the standard sneaker. The shoe is made lighter by foam compounds in the sole. The 996 Revlite remains true to the visual aesthetics of the original version, however.
