An avid supporter of the Kobe 8s, DeMar DeRozan traded in his low top Mambas and mid top retros for the super-high Nike Kobe 9 Elite. Switching styles up in The A, DeRozan dropped 29 points, grabbed 10 boards and handed out six assists in the Black/White colorway of the Kobe sig. This makeup launched in limited fashion back in January, releasing exclusively at 21 Mercer and Dover Street Market.

While DeRozan kept it clean and progressive, a host of regulars rocked retros of the loud variety. Teammate Terrence Ross laced up the “Miami Heat” colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove and Washington’s Trevor Booker broke out the “Carbon Fiber” Nike Air Flightposite 2014. See who wore what last night in today’s Kicks On Court.

This all looks too familiar yet so different.

Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan seems to be picking up right where he left off last season. If you recall, DeRozan began the 2012-2013 NBA season in 15 different Air Jordans throughout the Raptors’ first 20 games of the season, and many of them were firsts in regards to being seen on court. Last night, he reminded us of that first month of last season.

In a loss to Atlanta, DeRozan dropped 31 points in an Air Jordan 5 “Blackout” sample. The shoe is comprised of an all-black nubuck base, a black bottom and a black tongue, which also features a Jumpman logo of the same color. Does this shoe look familiar? We’ve seen this “Blackout” sample in the collections of our last two Sneak Peek subjects.

However, if you think DeMar only owns what you saw on court this season, think again.
